Traditional style Weet-Bix made with a number of different wholegrains.
Nutritional info per 48g (2 x biscuits) serve:
778Kj, 5.1g protein, 2.0g fat, 0.9g saturated fat, 34.2g carbohydrates, 4.8g sugar, 4.3g fibre, 125mg sodium.
Wholegrain cereals (wheat, rye, sorghum, oats, rice), sugar, puffed wheat, barley malt extract, coconut, salt, honey, vegetable oil, vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin E) and iron.
It’s jam-packed full of good stuff. The wholegrains contain long-sustaining energy and loads of vitamins plus some iron too. It ticks most of the nutritional boxes too – low fat, low GI carbs, low sugar (despite there being some added sugar), low salt and high fibre. And it tastes really good too. It’s actually pretty hard to fault. Combine it with some low fat milk, Greek yoghurt and fresh berries for a winning brekkie.
It does have more sugar than the original version. Nevertheless, it still falls within the guidelines for an acceptable limit (i.e. below 15%).

It’s a winner. Starting the day with a combination of low GI carbohydrates and protein (from the milk and/or yoghurt) is the best way to get your metabolism firing. I love the crunchy texture of the Weet Bix and reckon it’s even better than the original. No wonder nine out of 10 nutritionists recommend this product.
